I want to advice people choosing custom designs to ask SoundRhyme for larger actual faceplate photos before deciding, I chose the T02 3D design for my SR8 and I am slightly disappointed, thought it'll be some kinda 3D gold swirl thing in a sea of blue bling, came as some underwhelming insect wing, rice husk thing in blue.

Have any pictures of it?

Is it not the same faceplate as the QDC Anole V3 blue and clear design/ThieAudio Hype 2? Looks very similar, at least

My camera oversaturated the colours abit, I am really not sure whether it is insect wings or rice husks. But they do look more like wings to me personally...

Yeah it’s the same design I thought it would be. Same as the early neon pros as well as the qdc iem.

Looks nice imo.

I honestly thought they’d done a poor job and botched it up. It looks very good I think, but obviously it’s not what you thought it’d be.

I have a custom SR8 coming, but my incoming DTE900 is the default design.

Build quality is top notch, just that the design is a little too organic for my liking felt like a bunch of insects is plucked for my iems! blamed myself for not doing enough research. I hope they could provide clearer pictures especially ones with a lot of details and colourings, so it's clearer for us buyers.

DTE900 is ordered directly from their store on AliExpress, in custom design.
Looking forward to this, hope the design is as nice as in photo.

Lots of options in my options that can look awesome, did go for red and blue combo. Which type I can show when it arrives

Congrats, I cant wait to start getting some impressions from you guys. I'm about 90% on ordering these and it's a struggle being patient for feedback haha.

That’s a bold statement, I don’t think you can say it’s “better than everything around” it’s quite subjective, but the people who bought them early so seem to be very impressed with them.

There’s a thread dedicate to the butastur, so it would be a better place to ask about it.

The DTE900 only started being dispatched today, from what I hear. I’m not aware of anyone who got a set early so far, but I could be wrong. The new Aful flagship hasn’t been released yet, I don’t think anyone’s heard it.

Welcome! Did you try the SR8 already? I hope they aren't offering the old version of DTE900 on AE.

Aful's new flagship was shown at some shows. But the overlap of people who have listened to them, and have also listened to the DTE900's will be very, very small
