How are you liking it over the SR8?
Right now the SR8 is out on loan to someone for a bit. Once I've got it back, and the DTE500 has some hours on it, I'll make some comparison notes....

Only difference in the 2 models’ names are the D and S, and one extra 0. Coincidence?Found something interesting while reading on hifiguides.com forum.
DTE500 and the ISN EST50 share same driver config and the measurement is very similar.
Are the drivers really all the same and even Empire Ears EST?Found something interesting while reading on hifiguides.com forum.

DTE500 sounds better. And I love my EST50.If the DTE500 does indeed sound similar to the EST50, then I fully understand the praise it's been given.
The EST50 is probably the only IEM I have gone back to after some time, let burn in (and actually feel benefited from it) and felt it sounded better after the honeymoon period.
I wish I can listen to that guy for longer than 5 minutes but his mic/room setup and voice makes the sound quality of his video grate on my ears. Ironic for someone who cares so much about sound quality. Wish he'd upgrade his mic.Seems like Akros will review the SR8?![]()
I think you've started a cult. The Cult of Rhyme.Welcome Rhymer!
Well i wish he can just use some sort of clip mic, with some serious post recording work. Aswell as do a bullet point like paul wasabiI wish I can listen to that guy for longer than 5 minutes but his mic/room setup and voice makes the sound quality of his video grate on my ears. yea SR8 is warm and neutral, the Timmy curve is almost Crin’s nerf’d harman with sub-bass boost, I can see few db may be added to 2-3khz but fairly close.Any wonder about the graph of SR8? After doing some math i think i kinda match the graph of SR8 on normal squiglly line
Here official graph of SR5
Here's Akros graph of SR5
Here official graph of SR8
And here's my SR8 graph after some serious calculation
Yes the graph doesn't look good but sound wise, crazy
With just my 50$ ish iem with some EQ, I'm thoroughly enjoy it. I'll join rhyme-r once i save enough moneyyea SR8 is warm and neutral, the Timmy curve is almost Crin’s nerf’d harman with sub-bass boost, I can see few db may be added to 2-3khz but fairly close.
SR8 is micro:macro 40:60 IEM at stock and can be 30:70 or 50:50 depending on the switches.
I’m micro/macro 60:40 person, so I’m enjoying 50:50 tuning (0-0-3)
Crin ’s latest taste is 65:35, and HBB is 30:70 to my impression for their recent tuning targets.
