Is there even an IEM with even more note weight then the SR5?
Yes, there is plenty its dependent on how deep your pockets are.Is there even an IEM with even more note weight then the SR5?
I'm amazed... Do you listen any improvement with burn in?Great!!
Yes, I’m undergoing DTE500 benchmarking including SR5 as one of A-B test IEM, every time when I switched to SR5, it makes me “hmmm what…SR5 still doesn’t disappoint me even among those best of the best IEMs…”

Actually very little burn-in I’ve experienced with SR5’s dynamic driver, I bet 5-6hours of initial run would do the job.I'm amazed... Do you listen any improvement with burn in?
I already bought the tips thanks to your recommendation
Thanks for the cable recommendation
Haven't tried the SR5 yet, but Penon Serial probably has more note weight. Is there even an IEM with even more note weight then the SR5?
I have both and that’s true. The SR5 is a great IEM, but not exceptional for note weight. The remarkable clarity just gives the impression of it.Haven't tried the SR5 yet, but Penon Serial probably has more note weight.
And what's the effect the PWA Copper cable has on the SR5?MEST MKII

I also tried NiceHCK BlackSoul ($31) on SR5, it will make SR5 a mid-specialist![]()
It opens up 10khz, with pretty equal amount of gain level increase, so you ge more information out of SR5And what's the effect the PWA Copper cable has on the SR5?
Yea, I’ve been A-B testing IEM all day today, and this time, it’s not against similar composition ones, it is against S-tier IEMs.After not using my SR5 for a day I decided to spend some time listening to it. Do I need a better IEM? No, I do not. This is perfect for me. SR5 works with my fav gear and my personal PEQ settings. I might change the tips a few times, but that's all.
Yeah its one of the best gem finds of 2023. I'm even more suprise how well this SR05 responds to tip and cable rolling. Its definitely one of the besr 4BA+1DD config IEM. And overall imo best IMO under $600 USD.I'm enjoying the SR5 more than my blessing 2 dusk. presently surprised by this IEM after trying to many, granted many I only had for a few days and listened for on average sub 20 hours (dunu titan s, dunu kima, ap5, b2d). thanks for the rec!
After I did not use my SR5 for a day I was surprised. I did not remember that this IEM sounded so good. It blends in with my gear and has a good synergy. My RU6 DAC can feed this IEM so well and it optimizes the BA timbre. I run this IEM with an impedance adapter on a tube amp and the results are fantastic. Stereo DSP and careful use of EQ has made this IEM just about perfect for all music and videos. There are exemptions such as poorly recorded audio with lots of clipping. My setup adds soft clipping to create warmer sound and as a result poorly recorded tracks produce audible clipping. That's also a feature as I can now point out all recording mistakes.Yea, I’ve been A-B testing IEM all day today, and this time, it’s not against similar composition ones, it is against S-tier IEMs.
I’m pretty confident SR5 is holding the A-B test neck to neck for many test categories.
That’s sadWell the honeymoon is over.... My dog chewed my SR5s to pieces this morning. Only had them 24 hours.....![]()
