I'm using the very nice Sound Quest SQ-84 with my Denon 5000's - it's a wonderful setup.

I'm using the stock tubes and understand there are lots of 6V6 tube options out there. Is anyone else using this amp? If so I'd be very interested to hear any recommendations on 6V6's, which ones to get and where to buy them.

Thanks for all comments. I'm surprised we don't hear more about this amp out here.

Thanks for the tip, I'll probably order a set of 4.

I see these come 'matched pair's. Would two matched pairs work ok with the SQ, or does it need a matched quad?

I don't know how fussy it is about that sort of thing...

I am still using the stock tubes on my SQ-84. I love the amp personally. Thinking of buying the SQ-88 to use with my Totem Hawks.

If you're going to tube roll you might want to ask Stephen from Quest for Sound. He told me quite a few to pick up which he also does sell. You might can get him to sell you matched Quad's.
