I've narrowed my choices down to these 2.
I was about to pull the trigger on the DX170 when I noticed an ad for the RS2. Both devices look quite different in a myriad of ways. The bottom line to me is sound quality - I can trade-off the bells and whistles of an Android device for audio-only if that comes with an appreciable upgrade in sound quality.
I know that ZReview guy lords over the sound of the RS2, and the one he uses as a measuring stick for all other daps in that price range.
I am using Fiio IEMs: FH5s w balanced cable and FH1s (for the gym).
Does anyone have real world experience with these 2 devices? I'd love to get your take.
