Not sure I have seen ever such a thread around here and I thought it could be really fun to create one
.
Let me explain: when handling headphones, we usually give importance to factors like their physical appearance, their look and design, the build quality and also probably the overall feeling translated by the headphones: luxurious or rather budget finition...
Yes, but what about their smell...
It is no joke, each headphone has a smell of its own, especially when new. We might get used to it after a "burning" period
. When I reach for my HD650, still less than 3 months old, I really enjoy for example the flavour perceived much more than the smelly plastic flavour of my ex-SR-303...
Do you think this factor could contribute to the overall first impression we get when trying a pair of headphones. Wouldn't that be a fantastic marketing tool !
