I use an older Titanium X-Fi and I still think it is a good card. I never go beyond 25% volume on most headphones. So they should easily be able to drive the X2.

my integrated SupremeFX was totally crap with X2 even if the volume was strong.
Are u sure theres big difference as amplification between integrated and these sound cards ?

Hi, I use an dac/amp, Meridian Explorer2 which drives X2s very well.

That said, if you want an internal soundcard, make sure it has low output impedance (3 ohms or less) as X2s are low impedance headphones.

I see the specifics of Creative ZXR ( same chip amp of Essence STX II ) and i saw it give at 32/33ohm 25mW in "High Gain" mode and 70mW in "normal gain".

Are you sure Fidelio X2 or Sennheiser 598 is easy to drive by this cards ?
