Hey, I am ready to make the leap to a sound card. My motherboard only supports PCI-E x1. 
 
I am currently looking at two models :

I am currently using a pair of Shure 750 DJ. I don't know which one to get. I mostly listen to music (EDM) and don't really care for sounds in games. The 5.1 model has a built-in amp and dolby sounds while the 7.1 does not have these features. However, the 7,1 has 192 KHz versus the 5.1 with 96KHz. 
 
If anyone could enlighten me on my purchase, I would appreciate.

your shures have 32ohm impedance
you'll definitely need a headphone amp.  running a low impedance hp out of a sound card's line out wont do your hps justice
