This is an old thread but I just wanted to add that I've been using my X7 LE for about 4 years and it's been great. You might want to make sure you're running the best version of the software available. But eq works great for me and has plenty of power for my bookshelf speakers too.

The DAC on the X7 is really clean too. When I compared it to the Schiit Bifrost I couldn't hear a major difference. But i'll be getting a new headphone soon so i'll be able to test it again.
