so first of all yes i was being careless and my zune fell out of my pocket, landed right on the input of my headphones and cracked the jack in two pieces i was wondering were i could find just a new jack that would work in the zunes motherboard. i know a guy who says if i can find the jack he can for sure put it in. other than that everything works fine on it and if i push the male end of the headphones it will sound rite but i hate sittin there holding on to the top constantly adjusting it. ,thanks

Sent it to M$ and let them fix it? I personally wouldn't recommend messing with hardware if you don't 100% know what you are doing.

i know a guy who does soldering on boards and stuff almost everyday for a living i just figure if i can get a piece for like $3 it would be cheaper and faster

have the same problem. Can not find a replacement part anywhere. Closest thing is buying a broken zune for parts on ebay but seems hardly worth it.

you can get a zune travel pack which outputs sound through the bottom interface but it would add considerable mass to your portable zune.

You're better off just buying a new mainboard/motherboard and seeing that will work or just scrap whatever you can and buy a whole new DAP.

if you can't find a jack that fits inside, you could always just extend the leads and have sort of a tail jack as a last resort.
