Sooo, the zip on my wallet is bust so I'm looking for a new one. Any ideas for something a bit different/special? It needs to have the usual card/notes storage, and also somewhere to keep loose change.

Here's a shot to show the kind of space required.

(And before you ask, yes, I am bored at work today).

Me too. Better tracking of purchases, fraud protection, frequent flyer miles, and no heavy jingling change - it works so much better for me this way.

How do you guys pay for really low value items in shops? Do you use plastic for everything? I think it's still kind of frowned upon to pay for something like a bag of crisps & a choc bar on plastic over here.

It's rare for shops around here to have minimum transaction amounts to take credit cards anymore. The only shops I can think of that still have them are some restaurants and really small mom/pop shops. The bigger guys all take credit cards for all transactions. It just seems to be something that the vast majority of consumers demand here.

Still wishing for something like Hong Kong's Octopus card here though...
