After a very long test with these two kind of 300B on my Cary CAD SEI, I must admit that the Princess are better matched with the sound of the setup (HD650/Equinox).
In comparison the WE give a too soft sound especially in the med-bass and bass, the highest are also a bit rolled off, the med are fantatstic, this all know.
But not less fantastic are the med of the new Princess Sophia mesh, a litte more clear... but the most important improovment with the Princess is a new dynamic and detail... incredible !
May be with another cans (like a K 701 or a Grado) the WE could be better matched, but with my HD650/Equinox there is no story... the Princess are the queens! They are a "dry WE" and the only lack of the WE are gone out.
(The 300B are partenered on the Cary with 3 Tung Sol round plate - round mica - NOS december 1942).
