Can you imagain a few 8gb DVD full of mp3's!!!

DVD-based mp3 players are a great concept, but what I like best about hard drive and flash based mp3 players is the lack of jitter. Reading data directly out of computer memory is more accurate than off of an optical disc--except in the case of a computer's optical drive.

I don't think this unit will read mp3 dvd's. It says it supports mp3 cd's but there is no mentioned of mp3 dvd's. For some unknown reason manufacturers are ignoring the demand on portable devices that would read mp3 dvd's.

Unfortunately I think you're right. It only states that it plays mp3 CDs, not DVDs.

In small print somewhere it does say it will read mp3 DVDs!

Anybody that interested in buying this, AVOID buying the US version of the product. If possible, buy the Canadian version. Canadian version supports DIVX playback, while the US version does not. Why? Sony US is dumb.
