I think your 7506 might just need some break-in time. From what I've read before, they're much better than Grado for imaging (ie. give a better representation of position) and should suit your gaming needs. Give it some time.

Lol... mine is V6.. but yeah.. the sound positioning thing was really gud..

Where can I get the pads from?? and by source I guess you mean, what are they plugged into.. I've them hooked up with my PC.. I own an iPod, bt it's a 3rd gen one and I don't listen to it anymore.. especially since the battery gave up on me.. and yeah, what I meant by tweaking the treble was reducing it only.. and how do I burn them in.. should I just leave them playing for a day.. if so, at what volume preferrably

To place an order I guess. When I ordered the pads, I just called a 800#. Ask for the DT250 replacement VELOUR pads (pronounced: Vel-or). These pads are soft and comfy and will fit perfectly on the earcups. Run a search for velour pads on this site, you should get a thread where another member did a walk-thru on how to remove your existing pads and how to put these velour pads on. Burn in: play at normal volume for a few days.

tisk tisk. When you do get them, they'll make your listening experience much more enjoyable. By the way, keep an eye out for used grado's, you can get a sr60 pretty cheap. I started off with the sr60's then the 7506 and think it was a good way to introduce myself to an open can vs. a closed headphone.

been two days of quite some use.. been using them more for movies and games than music.. i'm facing some problems while using them.. I get headaches if I use them for long.. by long I mean two movies at a stretch, arnd 3-4 hrs of continuous use.. at first I thought, it was coz I've been youtubing and watching movies quite a lot without any real pause. My spring break is on and that's all I've been doing since last friday.

Today, it was really bad. My headache was so acute I had to actually get some rest, slept and then only I felt better.

The only reason I'm linking V6 with the headache is that I've never experienced such problem before I got them. It might be a coincidence, but I think it's the tightness of the phones around the ears obstructing the blood flow or something. I'm just guessing. Has anybody else had such an experience before.

Ear fatigue probably. If you think its the cans themselves, you should:

1. Stretch them out!
B. Buy those damn beyer pads.

When I first purchased mine, I used to get splitting ear aches because I drove them too loud and that treble is just too damn peaky...keep breaking them in.

By the way, you shouldn't listen to headphones for hrs on end without a break. I usually listen for an hour before giving my ears a rest.

Okay.. time to rethink.. been quite sometime now since i owned this baby.. i just found the best way to enjoy them-

have u tried 'nothing but you - paul van dyk'.. here do this - take few shots of [put ur favorite drink here] till it just starts too hit, nt too much.. wear on V6.. tweak the bass and treble till it just feels like right.. listen to it at a volume just below wht will cause an headache.. and after listening to it for few mins, squeeze the headphones so tht no sound escapes.. i've never felt better listening to trance..

peace out nik

you might as well tilt your head back to get a kick or stand upside down for that matter..
