Where can I buy a pair of these brand new? Malaysia and Singapore discontinued these unfortunately and they would not sell the store demo. I really tried.

I finally purchased a pair of XBA 300. XBA 300 is just as good as N3AP. I'm spending more time with XBA 300 these days. It has incredible details and resolution.. it's not behind N3AP. I think XBA 300 has more details than XBA A3 and XBA A2.

I have N3 and N1. What do you think. If I have the N3 do I still need the 300? Are there genres of music that earphones work better for than N3?

Just got myself a pair of WF-1000XM3 and I swapped the eartips between them and put long, semi-transparent greyish tips onto XBA-300.

It works flawlessly and creates a weaker seal than the stock tips so that the ear tips won't flip every time you take off the earphones. For the WF-1000XM3, the stronger seal helps keep the TWS in place.

How would you guys compare this with XBA N3?
The N3 obviously has stronger bass than the 300. But the 300 sounds more neutral and cleaner than the N3. My pick is the 300 because it is more comfortable and the fit is much nicer. N3 cable is just thick and less supple than 300 so can't enjoy the N3 on the go.

Let me know if you have more questions. Those are the general impression of the N3 and the 300. In my opinion, the XBA-30 is still the better, friendlier sounding than those two. Actually, the XBA-30 is at the right balance between the N3 and the 300.

Interested in checking these out as a pair of detailed/neutral monitors, but they can't be got that cheap and probably require special recabling, so they'd need to be better than e.g. chi-fi alternatives...

Depends on what you mean by cheap, but for instance e-earphone has a few used (presumably working, but I didn't read details) pairs for 16000 yen and lower (plus whatever fees/shipping/duty their international customer service Buyee/your country charges). Not certain but I believe the cable is MMCX? shouldnt' be difficult to replace if necessary.

No idea if they suit your other requirements- crinacle has them measured, if that helps.

Hi Raketen. Cheers.
Yeah it was that exact shop I was looking at. Currently have one pair in "B" condition for 16000 and a couple in "C" for -/+ 12000 I think. I know everyone's different, but I am cheap, and they'd qualify as a considered purchase rather than a punt.

The MMCX connection looks recessed, which would mean I couldn't use existing cables: another consideration.

OFC just look at the FR graph - they are a little V-shaped, which is sort of what I was worried about. Sucks because I thought I might be a good way to experience probably fantastic Sony BA drivers. But I'm really after a flat tuned monitor style multi-BA.
