My settings are +1 0 0 -1 +1, or +1 0 +1 -1 +1 is good too. I think it brings the vocals forward and makes the sound a bit digital which I enjoy. I should say I use s639 but I think these settings should apply to X as well. By the way what eq do you use on your s639? Doesn't the same eq work well on X?

It is too difficult to set the correct EQs, it will also depend on your ear phone amp and earphone, it is hard to tell which is exactly fit you.

Yes but since I too use IE8's, I thought the eq settings I gave could work. Everyone's taste is different but mine may fit to the OP's since we both use s639 and IE8's
