Yeah, strange news. The article fails to mention that the Sony does play PCM formatted songs which of course, are lossless. Strange that people have forgotten that. FLAC is much, much better of course, but strange anyway.

unexpected move by Sony Ericsson indeed. but actually they have real problems with their sales volumes and hopefully this desperate move will help them to sale more phones. i also hope that this move will force other companies pay attention to audiophilles. what is hd flac by the way?
