Hi guys..

I seem to be very sensitive to sibilance and bright treble..

But I was wondering if this can be a flaw in the pads I am using for the Sony V6 headphones.. When I increase the clamping force of the V6 with my hands the annoying sibilance and heights decrease dramatically..

Can it be that my headphones pads just need replacing? (It is in pretty bad condition, flaking off etc. )

And should I go with the beyerpads instead?

In other words, does the beyerpads have a significant impact on the sibilance issues with these headphones and decreasing the "brightness" of the V6?

I've always thought that the V6 is very fatigueing to my ears. But I can't remember whether it has gotten worse over time or better. I've had the headphones for about a year and a half... maybe I should burn them in? I mostly use them while playing Piano (Galaxy Vintage D software).

Any feedback will be appreciated guys.

Thanks..

Cheers.

Thanks man..

Does this really help with the sibilance and pronounced heights?

I really did not get the Velour ear pads for sound quality.
I had bought used MDR-V6s with worn out original ear pads, got the EDT250/280 for the comfort.
Can't remember in what way the EDT250/280 effect sound. but most people who add the EDT 250/280 pads to their headphones give it a thumps up.

Ok cool. I'll purchase them as a replacement in that case because my current pads are falling apart.

I think I will try to burn in the headphones a little. Just play some tunes for a few hours a day to get around 100 hrs in. Various people have claimed the heights simmered down after burn in.

If anyone has any other suggestions feel free to post.

Thanks
