I just read that there will be no more modifications to this player. Has anyone tried any of the modifications?

I was thinking of this mod but for $400 I could just upgrade to the 9000ES. I think that would be a better route.

Do you mean his mods of SACD players or any of his mods? My MSB Link DAC was modded by him, sounds very good. markl, I believe, had his 333ES modded as well.
