Hi.

Can anyone definitively tell me if the Sony S638 supports true 'drag and drop' file managment? Can I use my home computer to move and arrange MP3 files on the S638?

How about the newest generation of Apple iPod nano? Does it support drag and drop?

Yes. It does support true drag and drop either in UMS or MTP mode (which is the default mode on Windows). Files must be in the /music folder though.

You know, I've always wondered. If you somehow accidentally delete the pre-made files on the player, can you get them back or are you screwed and left with a useless player?

it only does if you don't have the japanese version. if you have the international version you can drag and drop

Do you mean the music videos and other such nonsense? It won't screw up the player but there is no way of actually getting it back (unless you use a data recovery program). I do a backup of my player's preinstalled content in case I need to return or resell.

yeah, i hated the music so deleted it... won't mess up the player at all, just won't have a silly music selection on your player to take up space anymore... not a bad thing at all
