Just picked up the  srf-59 am/fm radio, and it's a good value, except I got 2 versions with the same flaw.

When listening at very low volumes, one channel is unbalanced.  Only when you get past a certain point, does it seem to even out.

I sent for a replacement from a different  merchant, but it has the exact same issue.   Tested with different headphones so I know it's not my equipment.

I wonder if this could be fixed by adjusting something on the pc board?

It uses a volume control wheel, right? It is a common problem for volume wheel. Does it have manufacture code on it? Same batch probably use same batch of part, they likely have same problem. If you want to exchange it, you should try different batch.

This radio is well documented, if there's a 'pot' on the board that could be adjusted so that the wheel needed to be turned further to get the initial volume, that might fix it.
