They were by far the most expensive non professional CDP/DAC combo Sony ever launched!
I think back in those days Sony stood on the front row (near the edge?
blink.gif
) of audio design, and created quite a few classics to be, inovative and with great looks/build quality... even if their diffusion outside Japan was limited.

Nostalgic? Yep.

I have seen this transport sell for 700.00 last year on audiogon with the matching dac for another 700.00.the pair has popped up a couple of times for around 1500.00-2000.00usd .
