I suppose I misinterpret. I thought that fellow graben saw Q010 on sale some time recently, not back in 200x

Just so the record is straight, the Sony Qualia store in NY  (when it existed) had a suggested retail price of 2699.99 when I bought them (I sold them sometime later).
 
I listen currently to the HD800 and owned the Q10 for 2 years (I used a SCD-1->SFT Dynamight->Apogee MiniDAC->Q010).
