Are these things worth the 100 dollar tag? They will never be used at home, and I like the way they fold.

How is the sound quality?

(Yeah I know 100 bucks isn't much for headphones but that's all I'm willing to spend)

you must be talking about the d66 eggos. if you use minidisc they are tailor made for that format in sound and function. they do not have a lot of isolation, despite looking closed. if you have large ears they may not be for you. they are comfortable although they clamp down on my head a little hard. they have somewhat bright, detailed sound, warm midrange, and good, non-boomy bass. $100 is a bit much for them but i'm happy with mine.

My Slim X is arriving tomorrow so I need some headphones to use with it...

Can you recomend anything else around or under the 100 dollar mark with good sound quality and easy to carry around in backpacks, etc?
