Is it a good choice at this price ?

Just different, the M-50 at $95 + shipping on ebay it's a strong candidate. As well used headphones in this price range on the FS forum.

I love the PFR-V1. I can't really say much about it other than I find myself always returning to it after trying other headphones.

It needs a decent amp though.

Have you heard the Sony or the headphones listed by Head Room? If not, you have no idea what you're talking about.
