Sony NWZ-S615 and Mac?

Does it still have the space issue after you've unplugged the device and it has rebuilt the library? I'm wondering if it's a reporting issue, or if the space is really not being freed.

Sno1man- you were right about emptying the Mac's trash can while the Sony was connected-- once I did that, it freed the space up on the Sony. Awesome!

I didn't set anything on the Sony to get it to show up on the Mac, I just plugged it in w/ the included USB cable and it was good to go. Maybe yours was defective? Have you tried reformatting/resetting it and attaching it again?

BTW, thanks for the advice on the trash issue!

I have the same problem with my iAudio 7. Until I empty the trash I don't regain disc space. Probably typical for all mac users with a DAP that uses drag/ drop.

Unfortuntately it does not work with the Mac. It does not even mount as a volume.

It does work under boot camp with XP however

Maybe you got a 806 in the box by mistake?

Brain, I use my sony with a mac and xp. I havent gotten it to accept video transfers from wmp11. Sony does now have a medai manager available on windows, but its 12.95 to convert your videos over. I just encode my videos using visualhub on the mac, set the bit rate to 700kbs, and use the 5 gen ipod settings. Since in you are in windows, I'd try videora for ipod with the same settings.
