Fellow head-fi members: What connection method will produce the best results to connect my Sony NW-ZX2 DAP to my desktop headphone amp which only has RCA inputs? Looks like I could either use a stereo 1/8 inch to dual RCA plug cable plugged into the ZX2s headphone jack with the volume turned up to 100% or I could purchase from Amazon a line out cable which plugs into the WM port on the ZX2 and terminates with dual RCA plugs. Thanks in advance for any comments and help.

The line-out is the better option, as you are then using only the external amp. With the volume turned to 100%, it's still double-amped system. That will not necessarily have an effect on your enjoyment of the music, but it might. Also, the less components in between, the more transparent the output will be.
