Friend of mine just back from Tokyo, a sony salesperson said that Sony would be releasing the HD5 in June and that it would be quite different from the current HD range!
Anyone heard anything else?

Typical Sony product cycle. They like to release something new every 6 months. Sometimes it's a cosmetic upgrade, sometimes it's a full upgrade. I hope they're real improvements over the HD3, which is very nice as it stands.

Many japanese manufactures avoid the number 4 because it is bad luck.

Yeah, I hope it's navigation is vastly improved. Maybe using something like what their md's use (i.e. mechanical wheels). They are quite good actually.

In Japanese 4 translates to both "shi" and "yon". However, "shi" also means death in japanese. Hence the number is considered bad luck.

I thought 3 was the bad number... I remember a long time ago working for Chinese folks who bought a two buildings for our new store location and they took the address ending in 5 rather than 3 due to luck.

And didnt Creative skip the Audigy 3 for the same reason?

4 is considered a bad luck number for chinese/japanese as the pronunciation rhymes with death. its like the number 13 is an unlucky number to some people.
