Is the Sony worth the extra over the M6?

Also, is the quoted 45 hour battery life "anywhere near" the actual battery life if listening to none mp3.

the Sony has a much better battery life,

But the power output is lower so don't expect to power anything above 65 ohm impedance,

Also depends on your priorities, the M6 is a android based player directed at streaming apps and wireless use, while the sony is more directed at download your own content and carry it around with you and has a proprietary OS without wifi.

Also the sound signature while the sony has the typical sony sound signature which is somewhat darker, the FiiO is somewhat flat.

Meaning that depending on the genre of music you like you might find the Sony a bit colored or the FiiO a bit flat.

As for battery life, expect to charge the M6 every 1-2 days while the sony every 5-6.
