Could I let the E10 charging on its stand overnight?

Will it overcharge the unit and shorten the battery life?

I don`t think you have a choice in the matter. It is doubtful whether that would have any effect at all though.

I dont think the charger will kill the battery! The N10 used to get charged overnight and the battery never got suffered

Any good charger (which should definitely include the one you get with the unit) will be able to detect the end of the charge cycle and switch over to 'trickle charge'. Should be perfectly safe.
