Hello everyone. It seems that these days anything under $100 is a budget headphone. I know that both of these models have been around over 25 years. What are the differences between them? In their $70-$80 price range, what is their compitition?
Their competition in that kinda price range is the shure srh840, AKG k240, beyer dynamic dt770, audio technica at-m50x, the new mackie headphones and a bunch of other monitoring headphones I cant recall at the moment.
My first 'serious' headphone was the MDR7506. I still have it, it's modded somewhat: earpad swap, bass port mod, removable cable. I use them fairly often. From all of my reading the differences between the V6 and the 7506 are very slight or not at all.
I would also like to point out, that list is what the 7506 usually gets compared to, but they all cost more, some of them double the price.
