Not a serious audiophile.
I bought the Sony MDRAS410AP from BestBuy with a 2 year replacement warranty. I have a bit of an earwax problem, but nothing excessive. Somehow my left earphone's sound always becomes softer than the right. I had them replaced twice. They don't even see much use. This time, I was cleaning the the silicone tips as I do occasionally, and found that the left ear turned soft again immediately after cleaning. I just took the tips off and cleaned those, I didn't even touch the earphones. I found these instructions searching the forums but I don't think the instructions apply to my phones (where would the cleaning tool go ?) Can anyone guide me on how to clean them ? I have attached a
photo of the bud, seems like a bit of wax is clogging the tiny hole.
Even though I have a year of warranty left, I am tired of having them replaced. I lose $15 of the warranty, while the headphones themselves cost $45 CAD. If that's the case, I might as well buy $10 phones and discard them every few months .
Any help is appreciated. Thanks.
