saw this and listened to it for the first time, i must say, it wowed me
i am a DJ, and currently have an ultrasone DJ1. everyone told me to get it (both audio junkies and DJs) over american DJ headphones and such. i did, and when i got it, to this day, it doesn't wow me in quality. i mean it's great for DJing and i can play music loud as hell without any distortion which is great. one of my biggest complaints when i got it is the lack of bass. i mean, there is bass, but it's not to my liking. i like things BANGING and BUMPING hard cause that's what i'm use to in the club
the Sony MDR-XB500 was BANGING. sounded clear too when i turned my music up. what does everyone think of the Sony MDR-XB500? what are some bad things about it? what are some alternatives for it? it's CHEAP too
//EDIT: also, yes i did break in my ultrasones. and also, i am a college student, it took a lot for me to justify spending $100+ for a pair of headphones, so money value is key for me
