Can someone recommend some replacement ear pads for the sony mdr v6 headphones and where to buy them? Mine are falling apart and hurt my ears after about 30 minutes of use (I have big ears haha). Thanks

Go to www.bhphoto.com, search for dt-250 v6 replacement pad

Those velour pads rock.

Reviving a dead thread, because my V6 pads are pretty much toast, and I was looking at the DT pads to replace them. My question is though, do these:

look exactly as they do in the pic, leaving the driver totally exposed without any foam over the center spot ? Obviously it's not too hard to find some foam to fill the void, but I was just wondering.

Sorry, I should have searched first. I guess that this answers my question:

The velour pads from BD have a hole in the middle, so you will need to cover the driver if you wish to..I found them to be more comfy with the DT-250 pads,

or go to www.partstore.com and get the original part for them. Type in Sony, then MDRV6. The pads should be less than $20 shipped.

Thanks Purk, I've bookmarked that site for future use. I actually JUST got back from BnH photo, and bought the Beyer Velour pads. Paid 20 clams for em' which is fine, because they're comfortable but, they do NOT have the inner foam which covers the driver's diaphragm. I have to go out and buy some foam now, but that's no biggie.

No, no, no! You don't need to buy new foam. All you have to do is take your old pads and either peel the the foam off of them (if they are glued) or seam-rip the thread connecting the foam to the pad (if it's stitched together) and use that. I'm pretty sure that's what everyone else is doing. There was a mod thread on it a long while back.

LOL...Yeah, I already did it ... It was just that part of the earpads were torn, and I thought it extended to those middle parts too. The bit of glue I put on is currently drying, and so they'll be right as rain in about 10 minutes.

Thanks for the considerate warning though !
