Greetings Head-fiers,

I just received a pair of Sony MDR-SA5000 headphones (jjcha's), and I'm going to do a fairly extensive review of these cans compared to my Sennheiser 280 pro's. Both headphones will be amped by the Veda Audio Dynahi-SA, and sources will vary: 1) Onkyo-SE 90 PCI soundcard, 2) JVC-XLF154 CD Player and 3) Sony DVP-NS725P DVD Player. I'm aware that these aren't really the best of sources but they may give a "mid-fi" perspective on performance of these cans from subpar source equipment. Albums Used: TBA (recommendations welcome)! I'll probably post this review in 7-10 days from now, any advice regarding the "testing grounds" for this review is appreciated and welcomed.

P.S. TY TO JJCHA FOR USE OF THESE HEADPHONES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I will include some priliminary low-fi pictures cuz my cam sux =P (56K WARNING)

Should be interesting. As far as CD's to use I would try Telarc recorded classical pieces and probably yoshimi battles the pink robots (my reccomendations).
