Sony MDR-SA1000, is it worth it?

I got mines for USD$44 on a SALE at OfficeMax. For that price they are worth it. They have much detail. But the headband makes a lot of noise when you just barely move your head, so it becomes annoying immediately. You have to remain still when using them. They are comfortable for many hours, though. There is no way I would buy those for the MSRP of USD$200. But for just USD$44 those were a bargain (just like when I paid USD$29.60 for my Sennheiser PXC-250 at another SALE at OfficeDepot. The PXC-250 has a MSRP of USD$140.)

what he said about the noise is true.
they are extremely detailed and airy, with very little bass

It was an OfficeMax on-store liquidation SALE. They no longer have those in stock. Next time there's a sale I will post here.
