I saw the price of this headphone dropping, they support built-in Dolby Digital,

Just wonder if anyone has any opinion on this, obviously a substantial price drop.

I live in NYC and the sony store has a new version so hence the price drop.

I own the mdr 5000 and it was one of the best things I have bought, I use them every night and will watch the Harry Potter II movie tonight in Dobly Digital 5.1 surround, as soon as I can pull myself off this board.

I don't think the differences are big between the 5000 and 5100, buy the new version looks sweet but expensive.

If you are interested, I could sell you mine at a good price, then I could upgrade

One difference between the Sony and Pioneer models is that the latter supports Dolby Headphone. I think the Pioneer may be the better in absolute terms, but I don't see how you could go wrong with the Sony at this price.
