I'm pretty new here (Yes I know my wallet's gonna hurt

)

I have the following question:
Would it be worth the money to buy the Corda Headsix amp for use with the Sony MDR-7509HD. If anyone has tried this combination please let me know how it performs and what your experiences are with this combination.

If it's not a big improvement I think I'll buy a Little Dot MKIII and forget about the portable amps.

(The player I'll use for this is the Meizu 6 SL)

Hello,
I'm using the same combination. A GREAT improvement over the iPod's headphone out.
I'm not the typical headfier, i am on a small budget and i'm a lot more interested in music than gear (perhaps when we're talking about hi-fi); i think it's not exactly a cheap amp, but it worths both price and improvement.
A solid construction and a first class pre- and postsale support too.
Cheers

An OTL amp for such low impedance headphones is a bad idea. Get Lake People 99/2. This amp likes these headphones.

A ss design with an output transformer?

Why with an output transformer? Transistor outputs don't need transformers IMHO.

OTL = Output TransformerLess AFAIK All SS is OTL so I didn't understand your point since the HeadSix is SS.
