I need a pair of headphones for monitoring in my home studio late at night when I can't use my regular reference monitors.

Would you recommend the Sony MDR 7506 or Sennheiser hd25's?

Main usage will be:

1. Monitoring mixes for electronic music production (genre = hip hop, jazz). I hope to get the basic mix down with the headphones so I don't have to do too much tweaking when I put the mix through my reference monitors.

2. I'd like to be able to use the headphones for DJ'ing as well if possible.

Thanks for your help. I searched the forum for this info but never found a direct comparison between these two products.

Thanks for the reply. I just want to confirm that the HD25's are flat enough to be used for mixing. Thanks.
