i mainly listen to:
ballads
movie sound tracks (orchestral)
prog
prog metal
and some k pop ballads

Hi I have owned Sony Mdr1r and they were very good. I have not heard m70x Buy a lot of reviews say they lack bass . I can tell you the Sony have a lot of strong base with a good soundstage.
