hopefully its just "teething" problems and this is just rare. either that or the owner of the HD5 has very strong fingers

The d-pad directional buttons are about the thickness of a credit card, made of some kind of high-impact plastic. Something is shady about that owners HD5, either he dropped it or had it in his pocket and slammed up against the corner of something... mines perfect find and I dont see how it could crack like that. Definatly take force. That wont happen from normal use.
