Hey Guys

With the news that Sony will support MP3, will the quoted battery life of 30 hours be dramatically reduced. Cos i like the sony size, and i can live with the ugly design and annoying minidisc remote if the battery stays above 20 hours ish

There is no news that the Sony HD1 will support MP3.

the quoted 30 hours is also like ATRAC3+ at the lowest bitrate afaik. So normal bitrate mp3s will be significantly less i think.

yup it's pretty much agreed that the sony nw hd1 won't support mp3
