Yea they sound like a great pair of headphones, its funny because this is the first ever cans I'll get, always been a iem guy myself.
Im wondering if cans will be a new experience for me, I mean going from 9mm, 16mm to 40mm has to mean something right?

Depends what iems you've been using, some of them give full size cans a run for their money. But generally a full sized headphone will give a better soundstage than an iem.
$5 VE Monk earbuds sound amazingly similar to the 100aap's. That's not a knock on the 100aap's - only a testament to how good the Monks are.

Red is much brighter in person, purple is darker and blue looks much more blue.
Yeah the blue really doesn't look very green at all in person. It is quite obviously blue.
SONY calls it Viridian Blue.
