I was thinking about purchasing some Sony fontopia MDR-EX71SLB headphones for my NWHD3. But as i read Mavis' review, he said that there was some background hiss...

So has anyone got these headphones, and tried them out with the NWHD3?

And if so, have you noticed any background hiss. As, i dont really want to be greeted with background noise when i try to listen to music

Thanks

Got a NW-HD1 and the Sonys 70&71, might very well be me, being in my forties, but I never heart any hiss.
The combination is horrible though, the player mercilessly showing up all the faults of the phones (I use A3+ 256 kbs).

I've found the EX71's (in either colour) to sound unbearably screechy no matter which source I used them with.

Can't recommend these enough - and that's the best price I've found for them in the UK. So much of an improvement over the EX71s I used to have, and can't listen to anymore...
