The sony 71 is pretty comfortable, but I was not sure if you were thinking of putting the silicone ear pieces onto the senn 500. I don't think it would work at all. For the senn, as noted before, try the radioshack foam things.

THANK YOU!! I have been posting and posting and NO ONE has told me anything about the EX71SL so far. It seems I'll be getting a pair for Classic Rock on the go!

All right! I found some CHEAP places to buy some EX71's! Here is a site, "buy rite" which has a good rating on resellerratings.

EX71SL

EX70SL (intertesting that it's more expensive than the newer model)

Here is "K&B Electronics", which I could not find on resellerratings. However, they are part of yahoo, so they can't be that bad.

EX71SL

Enjoy your EX71's at reasonable prices!

edit: an inquiry. I noticed the EX70's came with 3 sizes of plugs (small, medium, large) while the EX71's only come with two. I have a small canal opening and am wondering if the EX71's come with large

and medium or SMALL

and medium.

Ya, i was gonna try and use the Sony pieces on the Senn's. The reason i'm not keen on the idea of the radioshack silicon pieces is that they're basically silicon versions of normal foam covers no? The size of the earbuds being too big is what mainly causes the aching, so it would seem that putting any sort of cover would simply exacerbate the situation.
