I would say, not yet. 1st gen Atrac PCDPs only officialy support 48kbps and 64kbps Atrac3+, and yet when newer SS allow 256kbps AtracCDs, they can be played on 1st gen units just fine.

Nope.

I burned a CD in Atrac3plus 192 Kbps (new bitrate in SS 3.2) and my PCDP Sony D-NE300 show 64 hps in the info display.

Check your unit to see if the tracks are really 192kbps. The new bitrates are not even listed in the AtracCD setting, so my guess is SS transcoded your 192kbps tracks to another bitrate that is selected in the advance setting.
