Feel free to chew me out for asking this if its already been addressed, but has anyone done a comparison of the Sony D-NE series versus the iRiver SlimX series?

On a side note, does anyone have opinions of the D-NE20? Is that the newest model as of yet?

i've heard the imp350, imp400, imp550, dne300, dne1.

the sony just smokes them in term of sound quality, battery life and antiskip.

the iriver have more configuration features, uses remote with big display, slim, look nicer and built with higher quality parts.

sony sound more neutral, iriver sound more forward and fun, with some coloration.

The Panasonic CT710 and CT810 are also very similar players. Never had one of the ones you mentioned but I have a 710 and am VERY impressed with it.
