Do what? Doctor the pic? I wouldn't. It just seemed like one or two people weren't believing me when I said my D-EJ1000 wasn't made in Japan. I offered proof if it was needed.

Excuse me? Think what is dumb? Please clarify. A question was asked and I answered it.

No offense but I was just wondering what the big differnce was between a 1000 made in Malasia and Japan? Docturing images in Photoshop? Are they good players? Is one better than the other???

Kieth,
How do u like your ej1000 so far? Better than the D777? Did u get your D-555 to work? If i remember correctly..you won and auction on the D303. That's prety player, I have the black one. By the way, D777 and D303 shares many sound characteristics. D303 has a better clarity and sound stage (less bass though). The D777 is the king for punchy bass. Otherwise, they sound almost the same.

Purk, I'll jump in, and say... that IMO the EJ1000 IS better than the D777

Don't have a D-777 (yet), but I like my D-EJ1000. So far my D-555 works, but the digital volume control seems to be acting up. It is pretty loud all the time, not a lot of adjustment. I haven't taken it apart yet though. Line out works fine though. I got a cheap D-303 on ebay that works about 90%, occasionally has problems with the first track or two on a CD. I've got another D-303 coming though that is supposed to work 100%. I really like the 303.

...if you like a smooth sound (lol... I thought i'd better quanitify my opinion)

The D777 is more vibrant than the D-EJ1000... whether thats purely because of the extra power (10mw x 2 on the D777 vs 5mw x 2 on the D-EJ1000) or what, i'm not too sure...

The EJ1000 would be great for classical music, but I still prefer the D777 -> D-E905 for dance music and the like
