The gear that breaks in the Sony D-25 laser mechanism broke in mine. Happily, I was able to source a replacement off of eBay. The unfortunate thing is that I managed to wing the clip that holds the gear in place off into space during the replacement process, making my now repaired gear slip out on the shaft. Does anyone know of a replacement source for these, or have a parts machine they could supply one from?
