I just won a Sony D-2 on ebay for $9 - sounds like it's in good working order.

I've done plenty of searches here, but does anyone have any opinions to offer on this player.

It's clearer than anything else I own, it totally pwns all...as far as the portables I've heard. D-12 = D-2 + Bass Boost

I have one. Be careful not to stress the heaphone and line out jack. They are mounted perpendicularly to the main board and they can become loose pretty easily. It creams all over any other player I have heard and its pretty solid.

Oh really on the D-2? On the D-12 they're jacks soldered straight to the board...I still had to resolder them on mine but still haha.
